Bookings and payment:

Prices noted in the website are for accommodation only, and do not include GST/HST.  Taxes will be added when final payment is due. 

The reservation will be confirmed by email following payment of the deposit.  If we decline to book your accommodations, you will be promptly refunded. 

Hidden Retreat reserves the right to cancel any bookings due to unforeseen reasons.  If this were to occur, we would cancel your booking and we would send you a full refund.

All bookings on long weekends are for a minimum of two nights, unless otherwise approved via email.

Cancellation Policy:

We require payment in full at the time of booking.  If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to your arrival date, 50% of the payment will be refunded to you. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to your arrival date will not be eligible for any refund.

A $300.00 security deposit is required  per unit prior to  check in, and returned 24 hours after inspection if there are no problems with the unit.

The taxes here in Canada are referred to as HST, and the amount is 13%.

The person booking the unit must be staying at the unit, unless prior arrangements have been made and approved.
We require the names of all guests who will be staying at Hidden Retreat, two weeks prior to your visit.
You cannot transfer or resell your booking.  Any attempt to do so, your booking will be terminated

Individuals younger than 18 years of age are not permitted to stay without adult supervision. 

Pets:  Pets are not permitted. 

Children:  We have guest accommodation catering exclusively for adults (no children under 18 years).  An exception will be made for families or groups who book both units together.

Check-in and Check-out

• Check in: After 3:00 p.m.;  Only if  available, early check in may be considered, and will be subject to a $25.00 fee.  
• Check Out: Before 10:30 a.m.  Only if available, late check out (not later than 11:30 a.m.) may be considered, provided housekeeping is available and no other bookings are waiting for their check in that day, and will be subject to a $25.00 fee. 

Occupancy:  The maximum number of guests accommodated at Hidden Retreat is Ten (10), Six (6) in the 3 bedroom apartment and Four (4) in the Two bedroom suite. 

Smoking:  Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the units or on the property except in the designated smoking area.  

Parking:  Only park in the designated parking areas. On street parking is not permitted.  

BBQ:  Remember to turn off the propane tank after each use.

Use of Facilities

WE do our best to ensure that all facilities listed on our website will be available during your stay.  However, we cannot guarantee that they will be available as maintenance and other work may be necessary from time to time. 

It is the guest’s responsibility to maintain the property to the same standard it was on arrival.  If the property is not properly maintained, a proportional amount will be taken from the damage deposit.

Our facilities are for the use of registered guests only. 

No parties allowed. 

Guests are advised that security cameras are located on site 

Fireworks are not permitted

No open air fires except in the enclosed fire pits, and subject to any municipal restrictions on burning

Please separate your garbage and recycling by using the facilities provided.

Guests agree to abide by any reasonable household rules posted by the owner at the property and any requirements of the municipality. 

Bathroom Etiquette:  because we are on a septic system, please make sure that only toilet paper waste goes into the toilet.  All other waste goes in the garbage (including feminine products, Q-tips, makeup remover and pads, wrappers of any kind). 

Noise

Compliance with the Township noise by-law is required

Please respect the privacy and tranquility of the property and the neighbourhood. 

If you are still enjoying the deck or fire pit after 11p.m. please keep the noise level/music low in consideration of our neighbours.

Hot Tub and Pool Rules

The Pool Area is intended for relaxation and enjoyment

Remember, the pool is unsupervised with no lifeguard.   Anyone under the age of 18 using the pool or hot tub needs to be supervised by a responsible adult.

Please watch your step getting in and out of the hot tub and pool

Shower before and after using hot tub or pool is recommended

No glass containers or bottles of any kind in the hot tub or pool area – plastic glasses or cans only please

No eating while in or near the pool or hot tub

No drinking while in the pool

No smoking or vaping in the hot tub or pool area

Swimming suits only in the hot tub or pool; no t-shirts, shorts, etc. 

Remember to turn hot tub lights off and put lid back on when not in use

No hot tub use between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.  

POOL HOURS are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Damage to Premises

Guests and visitors are responsible for any damage caused to the property, indoors or outdoors.  Should the damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to invoice the guest and automatically charge the credit card on file. 

We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from facilities or accommodations by them without consent.  The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item and will be paid via credit card or e-transfer.
